Deni always puts the community and those around her first. As Third District Commissioner for Women, Deni established a program to educate young people about the dangers of human trafficking. She tirelessly petitioned the Hemet Valley Medical Center Board to resume operating the Rape Crisis Center, which reopened in May of 2015.

Deni is an active member of Soroptimist International, living out the organization’s mission in aiding women and girls, and developing programs leading to social and economic empowerment. Deni is a member of Rotary International, Hemet Woman’s Club, AAUW, and the immediate past President of Las Amigas, Incorporated.

She initiated the street ministry to serve the homeless by providing meals, clothing, and referring them to benefits that are available.

As a lifetime member of The National Council of Negro Women, she is pushing forth the rights of the people of color on all levels.

In recognition of this lifetime of good works, she was named ‘Woman of The Year’ by CA Senator Mike Morrell in 2016. She is an attorney who, prior to moving to California, practiced in the nation’s capital and now provides pro bono services.

Deni always strives to put her faith first through earnest prayer.
